A percepção visual á a capacidade que os olhos possuem de organizar e interpretar as informações que recebem. E essa interpretação depende das nossas referências e experiências anteriores, por isso, varia de uma pessoa para outra.
Somos seres visuais, vivemos em uma sociedade visual e a nossa imagem passa mensagens às outras pessoas, queiramos ou não.
A primeira impressão é a que fica?
Sabe a famosa frase: “a primeira impressão é a que fica”? Alguns estudos apontam que ela é verdadeira. Bom, eu acredito que seja perfeitamente possível mudar e construir impressões que alguém tem a nosso respeito, a questão é: teremos outras oportunidades para isso?
O que cria essa primeira impressão é a comunicação verbal, que é o que falamos ou escrevemos, e a comunicação não verbal, que é expressada através da nossa linguagem corporal, nossas expressões faciais, postura, gestual e pelo que vestimos, claro.
Outro dia eu assisti Becoming, documentário da Netflix sobre a trajetória de Michelle Obama. Ele retrata a turnê de divulgação da sua autobiografia, mostrando momentos importantes de sua vida e em determinado momento ela fala da sua relação com a moda.
Estou falando de Michelle Obama – primeira mulher negra a ocupar o cargo de primeira dama do Estados Unidos, advogada talentosa, defensora de minorias e da diversidade, inteligente, carismática e divertida. Essa mulher incrível percebeu que o que vestia chamava mais a atenção do que muitos dos discursos importantes e apaixonados que ela fazia. “Parecia que minhas roupas eram mais importantes para as pessoas do que qualquer coisa que eu tinha a dizer”, disse em entrevista ao The New York Times.
Ao lado de sua stylist Meredith Koop, Michelle criou um estilo único e usou as roupas para transmitir mensagens políticas. Durante a visita a abrigos onde estavam crianças imigrantes separadas dos seus pais enquanto tentavam cruzar a fronteira dos EUA, Melania vestiu um casaco com a frase: “I really don’t care. Do u?” (em bom português: “Eu realmente não me importo. E você?”). Na época a assessoria disse que era apenas “uma jaqueta”. Não, não era, e o mundo todo repercutiu aquela imagem de mau gosto, para dizer o mínimo.
Não pense que as roupas são apenas pedaços de tecidos que servem para cobrir seu corpo e te proteger do frio. Desde que nascemos, nos vestimos todos os dias de nossas vidas, pense nela como uma segunda pele.
A roupa e os outros elementos do vestuário, como acessórios, sapatos, maquiagem, cabelo e até mesmo o perfume, são uma importante forma de comunicação e, quando sabemos disso, o caminho para o que desejamos transmitir e onde queremos chegar fica muito mais claro.
